ntico Setificio Fiorentino offers three types of unique experiences amidst the workshop’s centuries-old looms to discover the art of weaving, step by step. See how our fabrics come to life, from raw silk to the packaging of a finished product, and feel the finest fabrics in the world, from brocatelle and damask – with its Renaissance charm – to the most contemporary solid and striped creations.
Guided tour
A journey through history and various stages of production. The experience also consists of a visit to the showroom with an explanation of the fabrics and some of the most interesting creations from recent years. Available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Breakfast with guided tour
Breakfast with petits fours, savoury sandwiches, cappuccino, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and fruit juices in a unique location followed by a journey through history and various stages of production. Available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Weaver for a day
A unique experience to learn the art of weaving and its secrets using the historic warping machine from the 18th century, constructed according to a design by Leonardo da Vinci. Available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Guided tour with use of the loom to produce fringes
A guided tour inside Antico Setificio Fiorentino complemented by a special experience learning how to operate the small manual loom, dating back to the 1600s, and used to make fringes. The visit ends with a unique gift: the fringe you have produced.

Yes, I do: an experience for the bride
Craftsmanship at its finest, Antico Setificio Fiorentino is transformed into a bridal atelier. The bride will choose the fabric for a dress that will be made by the weavers' skilled hands. The bride will come to the workshop for multiple fittings and will see her dress come to life during the process. Furthermore, she will have exclusive access to the space for lunch or dinner before the wedding with friends and relatives, as well as the possibility to learn how to use the ancient loom designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
